¹¹ and say to the owner of the house, ‘The teacher asks you, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?” ’

Jesus Weeps

²⁸ When she had said this, she went back and called her sister Mary and told her privately, “The Teacher is here and is calling for you.”

²⁰ Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and eat with you, and you with me.^(A)

³⁴ They said, “The Lord needs it.”

³¹ If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ just say this, ‘The Lord needs it.’ ”

⁵ When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.”

³ If anyone says anything to you, just say this, ‘The Lord needs them.’ And he will send them immediately.”^[a]
