²⁸ And when she had said these things, she went her way and secretly called Mary her sister, saying, “The Teacher has come and is calling for you.”

²⁰ Behold, ^(A)I stand at the door and knock. ^(B)If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, ^(C)I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

³⁴ And they said, “The Lord has need of him.”

³¹ And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.’ ”

⁵ And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up ^[a]and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, ^[b]make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.”

³ And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.”
