⁸ And He said: ^(A)“Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ ^[a]Therefore do not ^[b]go after them.

⁹ Some said, “This is he.” Others said, ^[a]“He is like him.”

He said, “I am he.”

^19 (A)Now I tell you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe that I am He.

⁵ They answered Him, ^(A)“Jesus ^[a]of Nazareth.”

Jesus said to them, “I am He.” And Judas, who ^(B)betrayed Him, also stood with them.

⁸ Jesus answered, “I have told you that I am He. Therefore, if you seek Me, let these go their way,”

²¹ Then Peter went down to the men ^[a]who had been sent to him from Cornelius, and said, “Yes, I am he whom you seek. For what reason have you come?”

^18 (A)I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, ^(B)I am alive forevermore. Amen. And ^(C)I have the keys of ^[a]Hades and of Death.

²³ I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who ^(A)searches^[a] the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.
