⁴⁴ All who believed were together and had all things in common;^{(A) 45} they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds^[a] to all, as any had need.

¹² The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the wealth that will belong to me.’ So he divided his assets between them.^(A)
