²¹ Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it,

Impending Disaster for Jerusalem

⁴ Then I heard another voice from heaven saying,

³¹ On that day, ^(A)let the one who is on ^(B)the housetop, with his goods in the house, not come down to take them away, and likewise let the one who is in the field not turn back. ^32 (C)Remember Lot's wife. ^33 (D)Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will ^(E)keep it.

^15 (A)Let the one who is on ^(B)the housetop not go down, nor enter his house, to take anything out,

¹⁶ then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

¹² Jeremiah set out from Jerusalem to go to ^(A)the land of Benjamin ^(B)to receive his portion there ^(C)among the people.

¹¹ But ^(A)when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against the land, we said, ‘Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of ^(B)the army of the Chaldeans and ^(C)the army of the Syrians.’ ^(D)So we are living in Jerusalem.”
