19 Then I saw the beast(P) and the kings of the earth(Q) and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse(R) and his army. 20 But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet(S) who had performed the signs(T) on its behalf.(U) With these signs he had deluded(V) those who had received the mark of the beast(W) and worshiped its image.(X) The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake(Y) of burning sulfur.(Z) 21 The rest were killed with the sword(AA) coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse,(AB) and all the birds(AC) gorged themselves on their flesh.

Psalm 2

Why do the nations conspire[a]
    and the peoples plot(A) in vain?

In return for my friendship they accuse me,
    but I am a man of prayer.(A)
They repay me evil for good,(B)
    and hatred for my friendship.

Appoint someone evil to oppose my enemy;
    let an accuser(C) stand at his right hand.
When he is tried, let him be found guilty,(D)
    and may his prayers condemn(E) him.
May his days be few;(F)
    may another take his place(G) of leadership.
May his children be fatherless
