²⁴ “Show me ^(A)a denarius.^[a] Whose likeness and inscription does it have?” They said, “Caesar's.”

²⁸ But when that same servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred ^(A)denarii,^[a] and seizing him, he began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay what you owe.’

^22 (A)All the saints greet you, especially those of Caesar's household.

³² And Agrippa said to Festus, ^(A)“This man could have been set ^(B)free if he had not appealed ^(C)to Caesar.”

⁸ Paul argued in his defense, “Neither ^(A)against ^(B)the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor ^(C)against Caesar have I committed any offense.” ⁹ But Festus, ^(D)wishing to do the Jews a favor, said to Paul, “Do you wish to go up to Jerusalem and there be tried on these charges before me?” ¹⁰ But Paul said, “I am standing before Caesar's ^(E)tribunal, where I ought to be tried. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as you yourself know very well. ¹¹ If then I am a wrongdoer and have committed anything for which I deserve to die, I do not seek to escape death. But if there is nothing to their charges against me, no one can give me up to them. ^(F)I appeal to Caesar.” ¹² Then Festus, when he had conferred with his council, answered, “To Caesar you have appealed; to Caesar you shall go.”

²⁸ And one of them named ^(A)Agabus stood up and foretold ^(B)by the Spirit that there would be a great ^(C)famine over all the world (this took place in the days of ^(D)Claudius).

² And they began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man ^(A)misleading our nation and ^(B)forbidding us to give tribute to ^(C)Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, ^(D)a king.”

²² Is it lawful for us to give ^(A)tribute to ^(B)Caesar, or not?”
