³³ The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him.

⁴⁸ When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother^(A) said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father^(B) and I have been anxiously searching for you.”

⁶⁵ All the neighbors were filled with awe, and throughout the hill country of Judea^(A) people were talking about all these things. ⁶⁶ Everyone who heard this wondered about it, asking, “What then is this child going to be?” For the Lord’s hand was with him.^(B)

¹⁸ Here am I, and the children the Lord has given me.^(A) We are signs^(B) and symbols^(C) in Israel from the Lord Almighty, who dwells on Mount Zion.^(D)
