³⁵ Then they brought him to Jesus. ^(A)And they threw their own clothes on the colt, and they set Jesus on him.

^14 (A)Then Jesus, when He had found a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written:

⁷ Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their clothes on it, and He sat on it. ^8 (A)And many spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down leafy branches from the trees and spread them on the road.

⁷ They brought the donkey and the colt, ^(A)laid their clothes on them, ^[a]and set Him on them.

^15 [a]What then was the blessing you enjoyed? For I bear you witness that, if possible, you would have plucked out your own eyes and given them to me. ¹⁶ Have I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth?

¹³ Then each man hastened ^(A)to take his garment and put it ^[a]under him on the top of the steps; and they blew trumpets, saying, “Jehu is king!”
