²² He said to him, ^(A)‘I will condemn you with your own words, ^(B)you wicked servant! You knew that I was ^(C)a severe man, taking what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow?

¹⁶ And David said to him, ^(A)“Your blood be on your head, for your own mouth has testified against you, saying, ‘I have killed ^(B)the Lord's anointed.’”

²⁶ But his master answered him, ‘You ^(A)wicked and ^(B)slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? ²⁷ Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest.

¹² And he said to him, ^(A)‘Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.

³⁷ for ^(A)by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

¹⁹ Now we know that whatever ^(A)the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, ^(B)so that every mouth may be stopped, and ^(C)the whole world may be held accountable to God.
