¹⁷ He said to him, ‘Well done, good slave! Because you have been trustworthy in a very small thing, take charge of ten cities.’^(A)

¹⁰ “Whoever is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much, and whoever is dishonest in a very little is dishonest also in much.^(A)

²¹ His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things; I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’^(A)

²⁶ To everyone who conquers and continues to do my works to the end,

²⁸ “even as I also received authority from my Father. To the one who conquers I will also give the morning star.^{(C) 29} Let anyone who has an ear listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches.

⁷ so that the genuineness of your faith—being more precious than gold that, though perishable, is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.^(A)

⁵ Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive commendation from God.^(A)

³⁰ Therefore the Lord the God of Israel declares: I promised that your family and the family of your ancestor should go in and out before me forever, but now the Lord declares: Far be it from me, for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be treated with contempt.^(A)

⁴ So Joseph found favor in his sight and attended him; he made him overseer of his house and put him in charge of all that he had.^(A)

⁴ And when the chief shepherd appears, you will win the crown of glory that never fades away.^(A)

¹⁰ Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, so that they may also obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.^(A)
