¹⁷ And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant!^[a] Because you have been ^(A)faithful in a very little, ^(B)you shall have authority over ten cities.’

^10 (A)“One who is ^(B)faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.

²¹ His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and ^(A)faithful servant.^{[a] (B)}You have been faithful over a little; ^(C)I will set you over much. Enter into ^(D)the joy of your master.’

^26 (A)The one who conquers and who keeps my works ^(B)until the end, ^(C)to him I will give authority over the nations, ²⁷ and ^(D)he will ^(E)rule^[a] them with a rod of iron, ^(F)as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father. ²⁸ And I will give him ^(G)the morning star. ^29 (H)He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’

⁷ so that ^(A)the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes ^(B)though it is tested by ^(C)fire—may be found to result in ^(D)praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

⁵ Therefore ^(A)do not pronounce judgment before the time, ^(B)before the Lord comes, ^(C)who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. ^(D)Then each one will receive his commendation from God.

³⁰ Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares: ^(A)‘I promised that your house and the house of your father should go in and out before me forever,’ ^(B)but now the Lord declares: ‘Far be it from me, for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

⁴ So Joseph ^(A)found favor in his sight and attended him, and he made him overseer of his house ^(B)and put him in charge of all that he had.

⁴ And when ^(A)the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the ^(B)unfading ^(C)crown of glory.
