⁴³ Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.^(A)

¹⁰ on the day^(A) he comes to be glorified^(B) in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.^(C)

¹¹ With this in mind, we constantly pray for you,^(D) that our God may make you worthy^(E) of his calling,^(F) and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness^(G) and your every deed prompted by faith.^{(H) 12} We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you,^(I) and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.^[a]

²⁴ And they praised God^(A) because of me.

¹⁸ to open their eyes^(A) and turn them from darkness to light,^(B) and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins^(C) and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’^(D)

¹⁸ When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, “So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.”^(A)

²¹ After further threats they let them go. They could not decide how to punish them, because all the people^(A) were praising God^(B) for what had happened.

³⁹ Jesus said,^[a] “For judgment^(A) I have come into this world,^(B) so that the blind will see^(C) and those who see will become blind.”^(D)

⁴⁰ Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, “What? Are we blind too?”^(E)

⁵ While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”^(A)

⁶ After saying this, he spit^(B) on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. ⁷ “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam”^(C) (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.^(D)
