⁴ For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, ^(A)‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man,

¹² For ^(A)the word of God is living and ^(B)active, ^(C)sharper than any ^(D)two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and ^(E)discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. ¹³ And ^(F)no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are ^(G)naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

³ And the manager said to himself, ‘What shall I do, since my master is taking the management away from me? I am not strong enough to dig, and I am ashamed to beg.

¹⁷ and he thought to himself, ^(A)‘What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’
