Jesus Heals Two Blind Men

^27 (A)And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, “Have mercy on us, ^(B)Son of David.”

^16 (A)“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things ^(B)for the churches. I am ^(C)the root and ^(D)the descendant of David, ^(E)the bright morning star.”

³ concerning his Son, ^(A)who was descended from David^{[a] (B)}according to the flesh

³⁹ And those who were in front ^(A)rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

²² And behold, ^(A)a Canaanite woman from that region came out and was crying, ^(B)“Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely oppressed by a demon.”

⁴² saying, “What do you think about ^(A)the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, ^(B)“The son of David.” ⁴³ He said to them, “How is it then that David, ^(C)in the Spirit, calls him Lord, saying,

⁴⁵ If then David calls him Lord, ^(E)how is he his son?”

^15 (A)But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple, ^(B)“Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant,
