Luke 17:5-10
New American Standard Bible
5 (A)The apostles said to (B)the Lord, “Increase our faith!” 6 But (C)the Lord said, “If you [a]had faith [b]the size of (D)a mustard seed, you could say to this (E)mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would [c]obey you.
7 “Now which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him after he comes in from the field, ‘Come immediately and recline at the table to eat’? 8 On the contrary, will he not say to him, ‘(F)Prepare something for me to eat, and properly [d]clothe yourself and serve me while I eat and drink; and [e]afterward you [f]may eat and drink’? 9 He does not thank the slave because he did the things which were commanded, does he? 10 So you too, when you do all the things which were commanded you, say, ‘We are [g]unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.’”

Faith and Duty(A)
5 And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
6 (B)So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. 7 And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat’? 8 But will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself (C)and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink’? 9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded [a]him? I think not. 10 So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are (D)unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.’ ”
