⁶ And the Lord said, ^(A)“If you had faith like ^(B)a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this ^(C)mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

²⁰ He said to them, ^(A)“Because of your little faith. For ^(B)truly, I say to you, ^(C)if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, ^(D)you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and ^(E)nothing will be impossible for you.”^[a]

²¹ And Jesus answered them, ^(A)“Truly, I say to you, ^(B)if you have faith and ^(C)do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ^(D)‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.

²³ And Jesus said to him, ^(A)“‘If you can’! ^(B)All things are possible for one who believes.”

²² And Jesus answered them, “Have ^(A)faith in God. ^23 (B)Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ^(C)‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not ^(D)doubt in his heart, but ^(E)believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.

The Mustard Seed and the Leaven

³¹ He put another parable before them, saying, ^(A)“The kingdom of heaven is like ^(B)a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. ³² It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”

⁴ So he ran on ahead and climbed up into ^(A)a sycamore tree to see him, for he was about to pass that way.
