^24 (A)For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be ^(B)in his day.^{[a] 25} But first ^(C)he must suffer many things and ^(D)be rejected by this generation.

²⁵ And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! ^26 (A)Was it not necessary that ^(B)the Christ should suffer these things and enter into ^(C)his glory?”
