¹⁸ Did none of them return to give glory to God except this foreigner?”

²⁴ He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”^{(A) 25} But she came and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, help me.”^{(B) 26} He answered, “It is not fair to take the children’s food and throw it to the dogs.” ²⁷ She said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’^[a] table.” ²⁸ Then Jesus answered her, “Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.” And her daughter was healed from that moment.^(C)

⁷ He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, for the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”^(A)

¹⁶ So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”^[a](A)

³⁰ But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.^(A)

¹² while the heirs of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”^(A)

¹⁰ When Jesus heard him, he was amazed and said to those who followed him, “Truly I tell you, in no one^[a] in Israel have I found such faith.
