²⁴ “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and ^(A)cool my tongue; for I ^(B)am tormented in this flame.’

The River of Life

22 And he showed me ^(A)a ^[a]pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

¹⁰ Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the ^(A)gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you ^(B)living water.”

^16 (A)They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; ^(B)the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; ¹⁷ for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne ^(C)will shepherd them and lead them to ^[a]living fountains of waters. ^(D)And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

¹⁴ but ^(A)whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him ^(B)will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

⁴¹ “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ^(A)‘Depart from Me, you cursed, ^(B)into the everlasting fire prepared for ^(C)the devil and his angels:

¹⁵ And anyone not found written in the Book of Life ^(A)was cast into the lake of fire.

⁶ And ^(A)the tongue is a fire, a world of ^[a]iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it ^(B)defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of ^[b]nature; and it is set on fire by ^[c]hell.

³⁰ And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’

⁸ Therefore bear fruits ^(A)worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
