²³ And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Doom of False Teachers

⁴ For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to ^[a]hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;

¹⁰ he himself ^(A)shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is ^(B)poured out full strength into ^(C)the cup of His indignation. ^(D)He shall be tormented with ^(E)fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. ¹¹ And ^(F)the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

²⁸ for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’

³³ Serpents, ^(A)brood^[a] of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?

⁹ And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into ^[a]hell fire.

¹¹ And I say to you that ^(A)many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. ¹² But ^(B)the sons of the kingdom ^(C)will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

¹³ The sea gave up the dead who were in it, ^(A)and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. ^(B)And they were judged, each one according to his works. ¹⁴ Then ^(C)Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. ^(D)This is the second ^[a]death.

¹⁰ The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone ^(A)where^[a] the beast and the false prophet are. And they ^(B)will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
