⁶ And they had nothing to say.

⁴⁰ And no one dared to ask him any more questions.^(A)

¹⁰ But they could not stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke.^(A)

¹⁵ For I will give you^(A) words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.

²⁶ They were unable to trap him in what he had said there in public. And astonished by his answer, they became silent.

¹⁷ When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated,^(A) but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.

⁴⁶ No one could say a word in reply, and from that day on no one dared to ask him any more questions.^(A)
