¹⁷ and ^(A)sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’

³ and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. ⁴ Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; ^(A)my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.” ’

^27 (A)All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. ^(B)Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. ²⁸ Come to ^(C)Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. ²⁹ Take My yoke upon you ^(D)and learn from Me, for I am ^[a]gentle and ^(E)lowly in heart, ^(F)and you will find rest for your souls.

The Twelve Apostles^(A)

10 And ^(B)when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. ² Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, ^(C)who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; ³ Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and ^[a]Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; ^4 (D)Simon the ^[b]Cananite, and Judas ^(E)Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.

The Way of Wisdom

¹⁸ Now all things are of God, ^(A)who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, ¹⁹ that is, that ^(B)God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not ^[a]imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

²⁰ Now then, we are ^(C)ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. ²¹ For ^(D)He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become ^(E)the righteousness of God in Him.

Marks of the Ministry

6 We then, as ^(F)workers together with Him also ^(G)plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

³⁸ Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that ^(A)through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; ³⁹ and ^(B)by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

²⁶ “Men and brethren, sons of the ^[a]family of Abraham, and ^(A)those among you who fear God, ^(B)to you the ^[b]word of this salvation has been sent.

³⁸ Then Peter said to them, ^(A)“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the ^[a]remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. ³⁹ For the promise is to you and ^(B)to your children, and ^(C)to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
