⁶ Do not exalt yourself in the king’s presence,
    and do not claim a place among his great men;
⁷ it is better for him to say to you, “Come up here,”^(A)
    than for him to humiliate you before his nobles.

What you have seen with your eyes

³³ Wisdom’s instruction is to fear the Lord,^(A)
    and humility comes before honor.^(B)

¹⁴ The children of your oppressors^(A) will come bowing before you;
    all who despise you will bow down^(B) at your feet
and will call you the City^(C) of the Lord,
    Zion^(D) of the Holy One^(E) of Israel.
