⁷ Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered.^(A) Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.^(B)

²⁶ Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.^(A) Are you not much more valuable than they?^(B)

¹⁸ But not a hair of your head will perish.^(A)

¹¹ She said, “Then let the king invoke the Lord his God to prevent the avenger^(A) of blood from adding to the destruction, so that my son will not be destroyed.”

“As surely as the Lord lives,” he said, “not one hair^(B) of your son’s head will fall to the ground.^(C)”

⁴⁵ But the men said to Saul, “Should Jonathan die—he who has brought about this great deliverance in Israel? Never! As surely as the Lord lives, not a hair^(A) of his head will fall to the ground, for he did this today with God’s help.” So the men rescued^(B) Jonathan, and he was not put to death.

³⁴ Now I urge you to take some food. You need it to survive. Not one of you will lose a single hair from his head.”^(A)
