⁵⁰ But ^(A)I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is ^(B)accomplished!

^(C)Then a voice came from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.”

³⁴ Jesus said to them, ^(A)“My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to ^(B)finish His work.

Jesus a Third Time Predicts His Death and Resurrection^(A)

^17 (B)Now Jesus, going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples aside on the road and said to them, ^18 (C)“Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, ^19 (D)and deliver Him to the Gentiles to ^(E)mock and to ^(F)scourge and to ^(G)crucify. And the third day He will ^(H)rise again.”

Greatness Is Serving^(I)

^20 (J)Then the mother of ^(K)Zebedee’s sons came to Him with her sons, kneeling down and asking something from Him.

²¹ And He said to her, “What do you wish?”

She said to Him, “Grant that these two sons of mine ^(L)may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on the left, in Your kingdom.”

²² But Jesus answered and said, “You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink ^(M)the cup that I am about to drink, ^[a]and be baptized with ^(N)the baptism that I am baptized with?”

They said to Him, “We are able.”

²² And see, now ^(A)I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there,

¹¹ So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink ^(A)the cup which My Father has given Me?”
