46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

46 then the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know, and will [a]cut him in two, and assign [b]him a place with the unbelievers. 47 And that slave who knew his master’s will and did not get ready or act in accordance with his will, will (A)receive many blows, 48 but the one who did not (B)know it, and committed acts deserving of [c]a beating, will receive only a few blows. (C)From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.
