⁴⁴ Truly I tell you, he will put that one in charge of all his possessions.

²⁹ and I confer on you, just as my Father has conferred on me, a kingdom,^{(A) 30} so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.^(B)

¹⁸ Therefore I advise you to buy from me gold refined by fire so that you may be rich, and white robes to clothe yourself and to keep the shame of your nakedness from being seen, and salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.^(A)

¹⁷ He said to him, ‘Well done, good slave! Because you have been trustworthy in a very small thing, take charge of ten cities.’^{(A) 18} Then the second came, saying, ‘Lord, your pound has made five pounds.’ ¹⁹ He said to him, ‘And you, rule over five cities.’

² Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth^[a] shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt.^{(A) 3} Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky,^[b] and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.^(B)
