⁴² And the Lord said, ^(A)“Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food ^[a]in due season?

¹⁹ Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,

¹⁵ but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ^[a]ground of the truth.

⁸ But if anyone does not provide for his own, ^(A)and especially for those of his household, ^(B)he has denied the faith ^(C)and is worse than an unbeliever.

⁴ For every house is built by someone, but ^(A)He who built all things is God. ^5 (B)And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as ^(C)a servant, ^(D)for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward, ⁶ but Christ as ^(E)a Son over His own house, ^(F)whose house we are ^(G)if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope ^[a]firm to the end.
