^37 (A)Blessed are those servants^[a] whom the master finds ^(B)awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, ^(C)he will dress himself for service and ^(D)have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them.

Final Words

^14 (A)Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him ^(B)without spot or ^(C)blemish, and ^(D)at peace.

⁴ rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, ^(A)tied it around his waist. ⁵ Then he ^(B)poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

⁴² Therefore, ^(A)stay awake, for you do not know on what day ^(B)your Lord is coming.

^23 (A)I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is ^(B)to depart and ^(C)be with Christ, for that is far better.

⁹ But, as it is written,

¹³ And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: ^(A)Blessed are the dead ^(B)who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, ^(C)“that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!”

¹¹ For in this way there will be richly provided for you ^(A)an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Shepherd the Flock of God

5 So I exhort the elders among you, ^(A)as a fellow elder and ^(B)a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: ^2 (C)shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight,^{[a] (D)}not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you;^{[b] (E)}not for shameful gain, but eagerly; ³ not ^(F)domineering over those in your charge, but ^(G)being examples to the flock. ⁴ And when ^(H)the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the ^(I)unfading ^(J)crown of glory.
