⁹ And I tell you, ^(A)ask, and ^(B)it will be given to you; ^(C)seek, and you will find; ^(D)knock, and it will be opened to you.

²⁴ Therefore I tell you, ^(A)whatever you ask in prayer, ^(B)believe that you ^(C)have received^[a] it, and it will be yours.

^23 (A)In that day you will ^(B)ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, ^(C)whatever you ask of the Father in my name, ^(D)he will give it to you. ²⁴ Until now you have asked nothing in my name. ^(E)Ask, and you will receive, ^(F)that your joy may be full.

²² And ^(A)whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, ^(B)if you have faith.”

¹⁶ You did not choose me, but ^(A)I chose you and appointed you that you should go and ^(B)bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that ^(C)whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

⁷ If ^(A)you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ^(B)ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

^13 (A)Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that ^(B)the Father may be glorified in the Son.

¹⁴ And this is ^(A)the confidence that we have toward him, that ^(B)if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. ¹⁵ And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

²² and ^(A)whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and ^(B)do what pleases him.
