⁵⁰ So that the blood of all the prophets shed from the foundation of the world may be charged against and required of this age and generation,

⁵¹ From the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was slain between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, it shall be charged against and required of this age and generation.^(A)

⁵² Woe to you, lawyers (experts in the Mosaic Law)! For you have taken away the key to knowledge; you did not go in yourselves, and you hindered and prevented those who were entering.
