⁴⁸^(A)So you are witnesses and you ^(B)consent to the deeds of ^(C)your fathers, for they killed them, and you build their tombs. ⁴⁹Therefore also ^(D)the Wisdom of God said, ^(E)‘I will send them ^(F)prophets and apostles, ^(G)some of whom they will ^(H)kill and persecute,’ ⁵⁰so that ^(I)the blood of all the prophets, shed ^(J)from the foundation of the world, may be ^(K)charged against this generation,

⁴⁸So you testify that you approve of what your ancestors did; they killed the prophets, and you build their tombs.^(A) ⁴⁹Because of this, God in his wisdom^(B) said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and others they will persecute.’^(C) ⁵⁰Therefore this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world,
