⁵ “When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’

⁶ Say to him: ‘Long life to you! Good health^(A) to you and your household! And good health to all that is yours!^(B)

¹² As you enter the home, give it your greeting.^{(A) 13} If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you.

¹⁷ He came and preached peace^(A) to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.^(B)

¹⁸ All this is from God,^(A) who reconciled us to himself through Christ^(B) and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: ¹⁹ that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them.^(C) And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. ²⁰ We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors,^(D) as though God were making his appeal through us.^(E) We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.^(F)

⁹ Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.^(A)

³⁶ You know the message^(A) God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news^(B) of peace^(C) through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.^(D)
