¹⁴ Indeed, at the judgment it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon than for you.

The Righteous Judgment of God

2 Therefore you are without excuse, whoever you are, when you judge others, for in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.^(A)

²² If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.^{(A) 23} Whoever hates me hates my Father also.^{(B) 24} If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not have sin. But now they have seen and hated both me and my Father.^{(C) 25} It was to fulfill the word that is written in their law, ‘They hated me without a cause.’^(D)

⁴⁷ That slave who knew what his master wanted but did not prepare himself or do what was wanted will receive a severe beating.^{(A) 48} But the one who did not know and did what deserved a beating will receive a light beating. From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required, and from the one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded.^(B)

²⁷ Then the physically uncircumcised person who keeps the law will judge you who, though having the written code and circumcision, are a transgressor of the law.

¹⁹ And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil.^(A)
