¹¹ ‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet, we wipe off in protest against you. Yet know this: the kingdom of God has come near.’^[a](A)

⁵¹ So they shook the dust off their feet in protest against them and went to Iconium.^(A)

⁹ cure the sick who are there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’^[a](A)

³ He is the reflection of God’s glory and the exact imprint of God’s very being, and he sustains^[a] all things by his powerful word. When he had made purification for^[b] sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,^(A)

⁴⁶ Then both Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken first to you. Since you reject it and judge yourselves to be unworthy of eternal life, we are now turning to the gentiles.^(A)

⁴⁰ Beware, therefore, that what the prophets said does not happen to you:^(A)

²⁶ “Brothers and sisters,^[a] you descendants of Abraham’s family and others who fear God, to us^[b] the message of this salvation has been sent.

¹¹ If any place will not welcome you and they refuse to hear you, as you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet as a testimony against them.”

¹⁴ If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet as you leave that house or town.^(A)

Exhortation to Choose Life

¹¹ “Surely, this commandment that I am commanding you today is not too hard for you, nor is it too far away.^{(A) 12} It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will go up to heaven for us and get it for us so that we may hear it and observe it?’^{(B) 13} Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will cross to the other side of the sea for us and get it for us so that we may hear it and observe it?’ ¹⁴ No, the word is very near to you; it is in your mouth and in your heart for you to observe.
