Luke 1:79-80

Good News Translation

⁷⁹ ^(A)and to shine from heaven on all those who live in the dark shadow of death,
to guide our steps into the path of peace.”

⁸⁰The child grew and developed in body and spirit. He lived in the desert until the day when he appeared publicly to the people of Israel.

⁷⁹to shine on those living in darkness
and in the shadow of death,^(A)
to guide our feet into the path of peace.”^(B)

⁸⁰And the child grew and became strong in spirit^[a];^(C) and he lived in the wilderness until he appeared publicly to Israel.

⁷⁹To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

⁸⁰And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.
