^64 (A)And immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue ^(B)loosed, and he spoke, ^(C)blessing God.

²⁰ And behold, ^(A)you will be silent and unable to speak until the day that these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their time.”

^9 (A)Then the Lord put out his hand and ^(B)touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me,

^22 (A)Now ^(B)the hand of the Lord had been upon me the evening before the fugitive came; and he had opened my mouth by the time the man came to me in the morning, so my mouth was opened, and I was no longer mute.

^15 (A)You shall speak to him and ^(B)put the words in his mouth, and ^(C)I will be with your mouth and with his mouth and will teach you both what to do. ^16 (D)He shall speak for you to the people, and he shall be your mouth, and ^(E)you shall be as God to him.

Nebuchadnezzar Restored

^34 (A)At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and ^(B)my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High, and praised and honored ^(C)him who lives forever,

³⁶ At the same time ^(J)my reason returned to me, and for ^(K)the glory of my kingdom, ^(L)my majesty and splendor returned to me. ^(M)My counselors and ^(N)my lords sought me, and I was established in my kingdom, and still more greatness was ^(O)added to me. ³⁷ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, ^(P)praise and extol and honor the ^(Q)King of heaven, ^(R)for all his works are right and his ways are just; and ^(S)those who walk in pride he is able to humble.

³² And they brought to him ^(A)a man who was deaf and ^(B)had a speech impediment, and they begged him to ^(C)lay his hand on him. ³³ And ^(D)taking him aside from the crowd privately, he put his fingers into his ears, and ^(E)after spitting touched his tongue. ³⁴ And ^(F)looking up to heaven, ^(G)he sighed and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.” ^35 (H)And his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly. ³⁶ And ^(I)Jesus^[a] charged them to tell no one. But ^(J)the more he charged them, the more zealously they proclaimed it. ³⁷ And they were ^(K)astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

³³ And when the demon had been cast out, the mute man spoke. And the crowds ^(A)marveled, saying, “Never was anything like this seen in Israel.”
