¹¹ But Moses said to God, ^(A)“Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” ¹² He said, ^(B)“But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, ^(C)you shall serve God on this mountain.”

¹⁸ And David said to Saul, ^(A)“Who am I, and who are my relatives, my father's clan in Israel, that I should be son-in-law to the king?”

^14 (A)I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. When he commits iniquity, ^(B)I will discipline him with the rod of men, with the stripes of the sons of men, ^15 (C)but my steadfast love will not depart from him, ^(D)as I took it from Saul, whom I put away from before you. ^16 (E)And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before me.^{[a] (F)}Your throne shall be established forever.’” ¹⁷ In accordance with all these words, and in accordance with all this vision, Nathan spoke to David.

⁵ And I said: “Woe is me! ^(A)For I am lost; ^(B)for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the ^(C)King, the Lord of hosts!”

⁶ Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. ⁷ And he ^(D)touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.”
