⁴ that you may have ^(A)certainty concerning the things ^(B)you have been taught.

^31 (A)but these are written so that you may ^(B)believe that Jesus is the Christ, ^(C)the Son of God, and that by believing ^(D)you may have life ^(E)in his name.

²⁵ He had been instructed in ^(A)the way of the Lord. And ^(B)being fervent in spirit,^[a] he spoke and taught accurately the things concerning Jesus, though he knew only ^(C)the baptism of John.

^6 (A)Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches.

¹⁹ Nevertheless, in church I would rather speak five words with my mind in order to instruct others, than ten thousand words in a tongue.

¹⁵ And I will make every effort so that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things.

Christ's Glory and the Prophetic Word

¹⁶ For we did not follow ^(A)cleverly devised ^(B)myths when we made known to you ^(C)the power and ^(D)coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but ^(E)we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

¹⁸ and know his will and approve what is excellent, because you are instructed from the law;
