²¹ She will bear a son, and ^(A)you shall call his name Jesus, ^(B)for he will save his people from their sins.” ^22 (C)All this took place ^(D)to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:

²⁰ And the shepherds returned, ^(A)glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.

¹⁰ When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. ¹¹ And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, ^(A)they offered him gifts, ^(B)gold and ^(C)frankincense and ^(D)myrrh.
