²⁸ The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”

¹⁹ “Do not be afraid, you who are highly esteemed,”^(A) he said. “Peace!^(B) Be strong now; be strong.”^(C)

When he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Speak, my lord, since you have given me strength.”^(D)

¹² When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you,^(A) mighty warrior.^(B)”

³⁰ But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid,^(A) Mary; you have found favor with God.^(B)

⁶ to the praise of his glorious grace,^(A) which he has freely given us in the One he loves.^(B)

²¹ while I was still in prayer, Gabriel,^(A) the man I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice.^{(B) 22} He instructed me and said to me, “Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding.^{(C) 23} As soon as you began to pray,^(D) a word went out, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed.^(E) Therefore, consider the word and understand the vision:^(F)

¹⁰ For I am with you,^(A) and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.”

¹⁸ Today I have made you^(A) a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land. ¹⁹ They will fight against you but will not overcome^(B) you, for I am with you^(C) and will rescue^(D) you,” declares the Lord.
