²² But when he came out, he could not speak to them; and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple, for he beckoned to them and remained speechless.

⁶² So they made signs to his father—what he would have him called.

⁴⁰ So when he had given him permission, Paul stood on the stairs and ^(A)motioned with his hand to the people. And when there was a great silence, he spoke to them in the ^(B)Hebrew language, saying,

³³ And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And ^(A)Alexander ^(B)motioned with his hand, and wanted to make his defense to the people.

¹⁷ But ^(A)motioning to them with his hand to keep silent, he declared to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, “Go, tell these things to James and to the brethren.” And he departed and went to another place.

²⁴ Simon Peter therefore motioned to him to ask who it was of whom He spoke.
