New International Version
69 He has raised up a horn[a](A) of salvation for us
in the house of his servant David(B)
70 (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago),(C)
71 salvation from our enemies
and from the hand of all who hate us—
72 to show mercy to our ancestors(D)
and to remember his holy covenant,(E)
73 the oath he swore to our father Abraham:(F)

from the royal line of his servant David,

72 He has been merciful to our ancestors
by remembering his sacred covenant—
73 the covenant he swore with an oath
to our ancestor Abraham.
