57 As they were going along the road, someone said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.” 58 And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.” 59 To another he said, “Follow me.” But he said, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” 60 But Jesus[a] said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead; but as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” 61 Another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but let me first say farewell to those at my home.” 62 Jesus said to him, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

57 (A)Mentre camminavano[a] per la via, qualcuno gli disse: «Io ti seguirò[b] dovunque andrai». 58 E Gesù gli rispose: «Le volpi hanno delle tane e gli uccelli del cielo dei nidi, ma il Figlio dell’uomo non ha dove posare il capo». 59 A un altro disse: «Seguimi». Ed egli rispose: «{Signore,} permettimi di andare prima a seppellire mio padre». 60 Ma egli[c] gli disse: «Lascia che i morti seppelliscano i loro morti; ma tu va’ ad annunciare il regno di Dio». 61 Un altro ancora gli disse: «Ti seguirò, Signore, ma lasciami prima salutare quelli di casa mia». 62 Ma Gesù {gli disse}: «Nessuno che abbia messo la mano all’aratro e poi volga lo sguardo indietro è adatto per il regno di Dio».

57 Es geschah aber, als sie ihre Reise fortsetzten, da sprach einer auf dem Weg zu ihm: Herr, ich will dir nachfolgen, wohin du auch gehst!
58 Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: Die Füchse haben Gruben, und die Vögel des Himmels haben Nester; aber der Sohn des Menschen hat nichts, wo er sein Haupt hinlegen kann.
59 Er sagte aber zu einem anderen: Folge mir nach! Der sprach: Herr, erlaube mir, zuvor hinzugehen und meinen Vater zu begraben!
60 Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Lass die Toten ihre Toten begraben; du aber geh hin und verkündige das Reich Gottes!
61 Es sprach aber auch ein anderer: Herr, ich will dir nachfolgen; zuvor aber erlaube mir, von denen, die in meinem Haus sind, Abschied zu nehmen!
62 Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Niemand, der seine Hand an den Pflug legt und zurückblickt, ist tauglich für das Reich Gottes!
