The Cost of Following Jesus(A)
57 As they were walking along the road,(B) a man said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.”
58 Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man(C) has no place to lay his head.”
59 He said to another man, “Follow me.”(D)
But he replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”
60 Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”(E)
61 Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.”(F)
62 Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”
Jesus Sends Out the Seventy-Two(G)(H)(I)
10 After this the Lord(J) appointed seventy-two[a] others(K) and sent them two by two(L) ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.(M) 2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.(N)

57 And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.
61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
10 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.
2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

The Seventy Sent Out
10 After these things the Lord appointed [a]seventy others also, and (G)sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. 2 Then He said to them, (H)“The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore (I)pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
