The Daughter of Jairus
40 When Jesus returned, the crowd welcomed him, because they were all waiting for him. 41 Just then a man named Jairus arrived. He was a ruler of the synagogue. He fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged him to come to his house, 42 because he had an only daughter who was about twelve years old and she was dying.
As he went, the crowds pressed tightly against him.

Jesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman(A)
40 Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him. 41 Then a man named Jairus, a synagogue leader,(B) came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with him to come to his house 42 because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying.
As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him.
