^40 (A)A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is ^(B)fully trained will be like his teacher.

¹² “Truly, truly, I say to you, ^(A)whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I ^(B)am going to the Father. ^13 (C)Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that ^(D)the Father may be glorified in the Son. ^14 (E)If you ask me^[a] anything in my name, I will do it.

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

^15 (F)“If you love me, you will ^(G)keep my commandments. ¹⁶ And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another ^(H)Helper,^[b] to be with you forever, ¹⁷ even ^(I)the Spirit of truth, ^(J)whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and ^(K)will be^[c] in you.

¹⁸ “I will not leave you as orphans; ^(L)I will come to you. ^19 (M)Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but ^(N)you will see me. ^(O)Because I live, you also will live. ^20 (P)In that day you will know that ^(Q)I am in my Father, and ^(R)you in me, and ^(S)I in you. ^21 (T)Whoever has my commandments and ^(U)keeps them, he it is who loves me. And ^(V)he who loves me ^(W)will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and ^(X)manifest myself to him.”
