31 And (A)as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.
32 (B)“If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 And (C)if you (D)lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount. 35 But (E)love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and (F)you will be sons of (G)the Most High, for (H)he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. 36 (I)Be merciful, even as (J)your Father is merciful.
Judging Others
37 (K)(L)“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; (M)forgive, and you will be forgiven; 38 (N)give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put (O)into your lap. For (P)with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
39 He also told them a parable: (Q)“Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit? 40 (R)A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is (S)fully trained will be like his teacher. 41 (T)Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but (U)do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 42 How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother's eye.
A Tree and Its Fruit
43 “For (V)no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, 44 for (W)each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush. 45 (X)The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces (Y)evil, (Z)for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
Build Your House on the Rock
46 (AA)“Why (AB)do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? 47 (AC)Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: 48 he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built.[a] 49 (AD)But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and (AE)the ruin of that house was great.”

41 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 42 How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
A Tree and Its Fruit(P)
43 “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 Each tree is recognized by its own fruit.(Q) People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. 45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.(R)
The Wise and Foolish Builders(S)
46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’(T) and do not do what I say?(U) 47 As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice,(V) I will show you what they are like. 48 They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. 49 But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”

41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.
43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
