31 [a](A)Treat people the same way you want them to [b]treat you. 32 (B)If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 (C)And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners in order to receive back the same amount. 35 But (D)love your enemies and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be (E)sons of (F)the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil people. 36 [c]Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

37 (G)Do not [d]judge, and you will not be judged; and do not [e]condemn, and you will not be condemned; [f](H)pardon, and you will be pardoned. 38 Give, and it will be given to you. They will [g]pour (I)into your lap a (J)good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”

39 Now He also spoke a parable to them: (K)A person who is blind cannot guide another who is blind, can he? Will they not both fall into a pit? 40 (L)A [h]student is not above the teacher; but everyone, when he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher. 41 Why do you look at the [i]speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 42 How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take out the [j]speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the [k]speck that is in your brother’s eye.

You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.
